Special Orders that I have completed for Special People. These are projects that I have completed as special requests.
Table Runner with Embroidered Birds
Made for Jill, Decorah, Iowa
I had made some napkins which I had embroidered some birds on. I was then asked to make a table runner with the same colors. I used a log cabin block and then embroidered the same birds in the center that were on the napkins. She was pleased.
One of the things I enjoy doing most is making things for people that have a special request. Wanda came into the store and was looking for 2 quilts for special girls. Wanda friend, Janice, has recently passed away from cancer. Janice was the grandmother of two special granddaughters and Wanda wanted to give them something to remember their grandma by, so she had me make these quilts.
The quilts are colorful and have strips in them with words like support, friendship, family etc. Both of the quilts were backed with flannel so that they would be nice and snuggly for the girls. Thank you Wanda for letting me make these very special quilts for the girls.

The customer name is Shirley from California.
This is a wall hanging that I called Bugging Out. The petals of the flowers are made from prints that have bumble bees and lady bugs on them. The quilt is accented with prairie points and buttons. I also machine stitched some butterflies into the background.
Shirley also ordered some place mats and napkins from me. Her thank you card said, "I love my quilt and place mats".

Aprons with Matching Placemats and Napkins
Made for Roxann - Excelsior, MN
As you know I make lots of aprons, place mats and napkins. Roxann came into the store and bought 3 of my aprons and then had me make matching place mats and napkins. I think she was buying them for Holiday Gifts.
Because I keep a selection of fabric on hand, I still had some of the same fabric left and was abale to complete the project for her.
